Concentrated driving tuition without compromising the standard of learning
An intensive driving course can be useful when you need to make progress
over a shorter period of time.
But intensive does not mean rushed.
The same principles apply as with weekly tuition: you still need to develop
the skills, understanding, judgement and consistency required to drive safely.
Courses are available in multiples of six hours, from a one-day, six-hour
test-preparation course through to a 42-hour programme.
The right course depends on your previous driving experience, current ability,
confidence, consistency and the amount of development required.
Choosing the Right Course
Is an Intensive Course Right for You?
The number of hours you need cannot reliably be determined simply from
the date of your driving test.
Two learners with the same test date may have completely different levels
of experience and ability.
Where appropriate, I strongly recommend a two-hour pre-course assessment
lesson before you commit to an intensive course.
That gives me a much clearer picture of your current driving, previous
experience, strengths and the areas that still need development.
Before You Book
Pre-Course Assessment Recommended
The assessment is a standard two-hour driving lesson that includes an
evaluation of your current ability.
It is not a guarantee that a particular course duration will be sufficient
to reach driving-test standard.
If you choose a course without first taking an assessment, the number of
hours you select may ultimately be more or less than you require.

Concentrated Learning
Intensive Does Not Mean Being Rushed
Longer or more frequent training sessions allow a substantial amount of
work to be completed over a shorter calendar period.
They do not remove the need to consolidate skills or deal with areas
of weakness.
★★★★★
“He is incredibly patient, understanding, and always took the time to
explain everything clearly.”

Google Review
Rocco completed an intensive driving course and described feeling comfortable
and confident even when he made mistakes, adding that my calm approach helped
him improve quickly.
Course Options
Choosing a Course Duration
The descriptions below are general guidance only.
Everybody develops at a different rate, and no course can guarantee that
you will be ready for a practical driving test after a fixed number of hours.
One-Day Test Preparation Course
6 Hours
£420
Designed for experienced learners who are already approaching driving-test
standard and require a concentrated day of preparation.
This course may be suitable if you:
Have already completed substantial driving tuition
Can drive independently for extended periods
Have good control of the vehicle
Understand normal road procedures
Require focused development in a relatively small number of areas
Want experience of driving under test-style conditions
This course is not suitable for complete beginners or learners who require
significant development across several areas.
Acceptance is subject to suitability and availability.
12-Hour Intensive Course£690
Generally suitable for an experienced learner who has completed substantial
previous tuition but requires more than a single day to improve consistency
and address identified weaknesses.
It may suit you if you are familiar with most of the driving syllabus but
need focused development before becoming test-ready.
18-Hour Intensive Course£990
Generally suitable for a learner with considerable previous driving
experience who has covered most subjects but still needs structured
development across several areas.
This course provides more time to correct repeated faults, improve
decision-making and develop greater consistency.
24-Hour Intensive Course£1,290
May be suitable for a partly trained learner who has developed basic
vehicle control and some road experience but has not yet reached an
independent or consistent standard.
The additional time allows a broader range of subjects to be covered
and revisited.
30-Hour Intensive Course£1,590
May suit a learner who has some previous experience but still requires
substantial development across the driving syllabus.
This course allows more time to build confidence, improve planning and
awareness, and develop the ability to drive independently in a wider
range of situations.
36-Hour Intensive Course£1,890
May be suitable for a learner with limited previous experience or someone
who requires a more comprehensive and structured programme.
It provides time to develop core driving skills, introduce more complex
situations and revisit subjects where further practice is required.
42-Hour Intensive Course£2,190
This is the most comprehensive intensive-course option I currently offer.
It may be appropriate for a learner with little previous driving experience,
although complete beginners may still require additional tuition depending
on their progress.
A 42-hour course should not be viewed as a guaranteed complete
beginner-to-test package.
Individual Results
From Limited Experience to a First-Time Pass
Intensive tuition can work extremely well for a suitable learner when the
course length matches their actual needs.
★★★★★
“Paul is an incredible instructor, he helped me go from very little
experience to passing first time in my intensive course.”
Harry M
Google Review
That is the type of outcome an intensive course can produce when the learner,
course length and test timing are suitable.
Individual results will vary.
It should never be interpreted as a guarantee that every learner can reach
test standard in the same number of hours.
Flexible Delivery
Flexible Intensive Course Scheduling
Intensive courses do not necessarily have to be completed on consecutive
full days.
Depending on your location, availability and my current diary space, some
courses may be delivered on a semi-intensive basis.
For example, tuition may be arranged as up to three two-hour sessions per week.
Semi-Intensive May Suit You If You
Cannot commit to several consecutive full days
Prefer to fit tuition around work, education or other commitments
Would prefer to spread the cost of learning over a longer period
Want more concentrated tuition than conventional weekly lessons
The total course price remains based on the intensive-course package purchased.

Safety Comes First
Test Standard Still Comes First
Booking an intensive course does not guarantee use of my tuition car
for a practical driving test.
I must be satisfied that your driving is safe and that you are ready
to attend the test in my tuition vehicle.
I reserve the right to withhold my tuition vehicle from use on a practical
driving test where, in my professional judgement, your driving standard is
potentially or actually dangerous, or where allowing the vehicle to be used
would present an unacceptable risk to you, the examiner, other road users
or the public.
This decision may be made at any stage, including during the period
immediately before the test.
Before Booking
Important Information About Intensive Courses
Automatic driving tuition only.
Course suitability should preferably be established through a two-hour pre-course assessment.
Course duration is based on the number of tuition hours purchased, not a guaranteed level of progress.
Progress depends on your existing ability, confidence, concentration, coordination and ability to apply feedback.
A practical driving-test booking does not guarantee acceptance onto a course.
Having a test booked does not mean that you will necessarily be ready to use my tuition car for that test.
Further lessons may be recommended if you have not reached the required standard by the end of the course.
Intensive courses are subject to diary availability and suitability.
Payment is required to confirm a course booking.
Bookings and Cancellations
Cancellations
Please give me as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or rearrange
a lesson, assessment, mock driving test or other booked service.
Where a booking is cancelled at short notice and I am unable to replace the
lost appointment with other paid work, the booking may be charged in full.
Where the appointment can reasonably be reallocated, any cancellation charge
will take this into account.
Full cancellation terms are contained within the Terms and Conditions.
